Installation with the clamp system was quick and straightforward, although my desk has a metal support bar underneath that limits how far the clamps can slide on. Because of that, the clamps only fit about halfway, but once installed the tray feels solid and secure. I tested it by giving it a firm tug and it did not move at all, and since my power strip and cables are not especially heavy, stability is not a concern. If your desk has a similar support bar and you want the clamps to sit perfectly, you will need roughly an inch of clearance between the desk edge and the support bar. That said, this is an issue with my desk design rather than the tray itself. Functionally, the tray does an excellent job of organizing all the cables under my desk and even keeps them safely out of reach of my cat. While there are more decorative or premium-looking options available, this one delivers great value for the price, which I picked up on sale for $12. The included Velcro straps were a nice bonus and made it easy to bundle and manage the cords neatly.
